Naheed has being doing mehendi for the past 20 years. She took some mehendi courses in India as a hobby but after coming to US she made mehendi designing her main goal. She pursued her passion for mehendi by participating in wedding expos, Indian festivals and melas. Creating artistic designs with mehendi keeps her artistic talent alive. All customers are very happy with her work and highly recommend her.
Besides doing mehendi she went to fashion designing school and graduated from FIDM San Francisco, CA . She also worked with Marker and Grading company, where she resized patterns in computers.
About HennaAt Mehendi Palace you get 100% all natural henna. The mixture of the cones is made by Naheed herself. The color of the henna is dark maroon and it last for one to two weeks.Mehendi CareThe mehendi should be scraped off after four to five hours and after scraping apply mustard oil or Vicks VapoRub. Care should be taken not to apply water to the part where mehendi was applied for ten to twelve hours, specially for brides.For deeper color: Apply oil or put four to five cloves on a fry pan. When the cloves turn white steam your hand for 2-5 minutes. This can be done after you scrap off the mehendi in 4-5 hrs . The color of the mehendi will last for 1-2 weeks.
